GURUNAVI Japanese Restaurant Week: Experience Authentic Japanese Cuisine

The 2nd "Japanese Restaurant Week" (hereinafter referred to as JRW), hosted by GURUNAVI, is collaborating this time with the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) to offer travel itineraries that appeal to current visitors to Japan, allowing them to deeply experience the charm of Japanese cuisine from various regions. These itineraries can be booked through the "Special Feature Website for Discovering the Charm of Regional Japanese Cuisine" (https://tw.sushiandsake.net/pr/japantour/). Additionally, during the JRW event period, participants can log in on the "JRW Event Website" (https://tw.sushiandsake.net/jrwtw/) for a chance to win grand prizes, including round-trip flights to Japan sponsored by ANA and travel itineraries to explore regional Japanese cuisine.

The JRW event originated in 2013 in Singapore as a food experience campaign launched by GURUNAVI titled "Experience Authentic Washoku in Japan!" It was subsequently held in Taiwan, Bangkok, and Hong Kong. The campaign was designed to inspire the concept of "Go to Japan, and go again!" through local washoku cultural experiences. This October, GURUNAVI will once again host the event in Taiwan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Among these, the JRW events in Taiwan, Shanghai, and Singapore will be conducted as part of the JNTO's "VISIT JAPAN" initiative. Taiwan’s first JRW event in December 2014 received high praise, and this year welcomes the second edition with as many as 72 participating Japanese restaurants.

The travel itineraries introduced in this JRW focus on showcasing the food and scenery of various Japanese regions, including Hokkaido, Niigata, Ishikawa, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, and Kumamoto, featuring four major routes and 17 itineraries. The travel packages offered are part of the JNTO's "VISIT JAPAN" initiative, jointly launched with GURUNAVI, which provides extensive information on Japanese cuisine, and H.I.S. ANA Navigation Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as HAnavi), a company specializing in domestic Japanese travel products. A "Special Feature Website for Discovering the Charm of Regional Japanese Cuisine" has been established, offering comprehensive information on sightseeing spots, food culture, and restaurants across 10 regions (including Tokyo and Osaka). Participants can sign up for the specially curated regional food discovery itineraries by visiting the HAnavi event website.
