Unlike other Japanese ramen brands, upon entering Taiwan it chose to set up shop in Hsinchu. In mid-October 2015, its third store in Taiwan—Taipei Main Station Front Branch—opened, officially expanding its presence into northern Taiwan, also a fiercely competitive battleground for ramen brands. It features authentic Hakata-style tonkotsu broth. To avoid the flavor being too intense for Taiwanese consumers, there are also four taste options: Hakata Rich Tonkotsu, Hakata Light Tonkotsu, Black Ramen, and Red Ramen (spicy).

Hakata Ikkousha Tonkotsu Ramen has expanded rapidly around the world, with branches in India, China, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Australia, the United States, and more. Its location in the Taipei Railway Station business district allows it to reach customers across the Greater Taipei area as well as tourists from various countries. You no longer need to go to Japan to enjoy Hakata Ikkousha Tonkotsu Ramen—it’s now easily accessible in Taiwan.
