Jitianyuan Urban Leisure Agriculture Sightseeing Park is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

Jitianyuan is located south of National Highway 309 and east of Shiji Road in Zhangdian District, Zibo City, enjoying convenient transportation just an 8-minute drive from the city center. The surrounding area is a bustling hub in the southern part of Zibo’s urban center, densely populated with numerous shops and businesses, including Zibo Commercial Building, Red Star Macalline, Zibo Auto Parts City, Luzhong Decoration Materials City, and Luzhong Hardware & Electrical City. It serves as an important commercial and logistics distribution hub in Zibo. The project covers a total area of over 700 acres, divided into eastern and western sections. The eastern section alone spans more than 400 acres and officially opened on August 1, 2009. It is currently the largest agricultural sightseeing park in the southern urban area, integrating themed dining, fishing, CS battle games, fitness, gardens, pick-your-own produce, farmland adoption (self-cultivation gardening), and business offices into a comprehensive leisure and business park. With small bridges, flowing water, birdsong, floral scents, and picturesque lake and mountain views, it is truly an urban oasis. The park receives an average of over 800 visitors daily, meeting the needs of residents seeking to reconnect with nature and enjoy recreational activities.

In recent years, facing the diverse trends in the tourism market, through in-depth research, we found that participatory and experiential tourism projects are increasingly favored by visitors. A return to simplicity and nature has become a new trend in travel. Agriculture-themed tourism projects, represented by "urban agriculture," have become the optimal combination of leveraging suburban land resources and catering to the consumption psychology of urban residents. To meet market demand, we transformed waste into value by using over 40,000 cubic meters of various types of cleared garbage within the park to construct two uniquely designed landscape rockeries. Lush with green trees, vibrant lawns, and scattered Taihu rocks, the area features winding paths leading to serene spots.

The park's construction projects include a self-cultivation gardening leisure area, dining service area, sports and fitness area, ecological breeding, horseback riding and fishing, and a fruit-picking garden. Projects under construction include an art gallery, reception center, and beer square.

(1) As Zibo’s first land adoption project, the Jitianyuan Self-Cultivation Gardening Leisure Area has reached 120 acres. Its innovative rental farming model and comprehensive service offerings have attracted over 1,000 urban households to adopt and cultivate plots, effectively increasing the land’s value and providing residents with a great place for fitness, leisure, and recreation.

(2) Nestled within a hundred-acre grove, the "Garden Restaurant" is a rustic-style dining establishment surrounded by West Mountain, West Lake, small bridges, and flowing water, offering a beautiful environment. It is a flagship urban agriculture project strongly promoted by Jitianyuan. The menu features free-range ecological chicken and farmhouse dishes from the park, highlighting a green dining philosophy from farm to table, combining classic rustic charm with contemporary garden-style culinary elegance.

(3) The 1,100-square-meter sports hall is a professional facility in the Zibo area, highly favored by badminton enthusiasts. With a clear height of 9 meters, it houses seven courts. The floor is made of premium bamboo, topped with international-standard plastic flooring. The venue offers badminton training classes and provides technical exchange and competition services for individuals or groups, along with regularly scheduled badminton tournaments.

(4) Characteristic planting and breeding form an ecological cycle. Nearly 50 varieties of landscaping saplings, totaling over 70,000 plants, have been cultivated, along with newly introduced various rocks worth over 5 million yuan. The fruit-picking area, featuring apples, peaches, apricots, pears, hawthorns, figs, walnuts, and cherries, has been preliminarily established. Over 100,000 high-end flower and tree seedlings suitable for northern cultivation have been planted. Additionally, several million yuan has been invested in constructing a supporting irrigation and spraying system to serve the entire park while effectively conserving water resources.

(5) A fully functional free-range chicken hatchery covering 1,000 square meters (with complete water, electricity, gas, and heating facilities) and an eco-friendly breeding management system have been established. Utilizing the existing 300-plus acres of woodland in the western part of the park for natural free-range feeding, three batches totaling 20,000 chicks have entered the free-range stage, with 10,000 ready for market. This has gradually led to the development of Jitianyuan-branded ecologically free-range chickens and eggs as specialty products.

(6) The professional-grade horse racing field under construction covers over 20 acres. The field is planted with ornamental trees such as cherry blossoms, bougainvillea, magnolia, and wintersweet. Plans include introducing dozens of horses, including stable horses, walking horses, running horses, and racehorses. Visitors can choose different horses based on their physical condition and experience to gallop across the racetrack grasslands and enjoy the thrill of control and conquest.

(7) The water circulation system is dynamic and picturesque. Based on the city’s unique underground water recycling system, the park ingeniously integrates four major functions—flood discharge, water storage, irrigation, and landscaping—into one. Three reservoirs covering over ten acres have been built, along with nearly 7,000 meters of excavated and dredged drainage and irrigation channels. This system also supports a leisure fishing project.

In the park’s second-phase planning, the constructed art gallery and reception center cover an area of over 20 acres, with a construction area of nearly 10,000 square meters and green coverage exceeding 60%. The building has four floors, featuring spacious, elegant, and well-equipped offices and meeting rooms, including a large conference room that can accommodate 50–200 people for events. The north area’s first and second floors house the Tianfu Art Gallery, designed in a traditional Chinese antique style with multiple exhibition areas for rare stones and jade, regularly hosting influential large-scale brand exhibitions, invitation-only exhibitions, and joint exhibitions. As Jitianyuan continues to develop, the growing opportunities brought by the park’s expansion will lead the company to further invest in infrastructure, greening, and service systems, intensify business recruitment efforts, and promote urban agriculture as the core to drive other service industries. The goal is to build Jitianyuan into a comprehensive dining and business leisure park integrating themed dining, fishing, CS battle games, fitness, gardens, pick-your-own produce, farmland adoption (self-cultivation gardening), and business offices. With the completion of all phases, Jitianyuan has become a resort destination in central Shandong for experiencing folk culture, enjoying mountain village charm, and attaining high-end leisure, with broad prospects for future development.
