Binzhou Museum

Established in April 2015, Binzhou Museum is a comprehensive museum integrating education, exhibition, collection, acquisition, and research. It covers a construction area of 11,000 square meters, with over 5,000 square meters of exhibition space. In accordance with museum construction regulations and the relevant standards for national second-grade museums, the overall functional layout of the museum is divided into five floors. The first floor includes a VIP room, a guided tour service area, a special exhibition hall, and a cultural and creative product display area; the second floor is the core exhibition area of the museum — the Binzhou Historical and Cultural Exhibition, which highlights the long history and rich culture of Binzhou. The third floor houses the Sunzi Culture Exhibition Hall, youth education interactive areas, and temporary exhibition halls; the fourth floor contains an anti-corruption and integrity exhibition hall, a lecture hall, an academic salon area, and office spaces; the basement level is the cultural relics protection area. The museum has been awarded the title of “Shandong Provincial Civilized Unit” by the Shandong Provincial Spiritual Civilization Construction Committee; recognized as a “Shandong Provincial Science Education Base” for the year 2019 by the Shandong Association for Science and Technology; designated as a “Municipal Patriotic Education Base” by the Municipal Publicity Department; acknowledged as a “Binzhou Municipal Education Base for the Care of the Next Generation” by the Binzhou Municipal Committee on the Care of the Next Generation; and rated as one of the “First Batch of Binzhou Municipal Primary and Secondary School Students’ Study and Practice Education Bases” by the Binzhou Municipal Education Bureau and the Binzhou Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, among other honors. It was also rated as an “excellent performing institution” in the performance assessment of public institutions directly under the municipal government for two consecutive years in 2018 and 2019.
