Dingzhuang Township, Ling County, Dezhou City is bordered by the Ling County Economic Development Zone to the east, the Dezhou Economic Development Zone to the west, Pingyuan County to the south, and National Highway 104 to the north. Dingzhuang Township has broad prospects for tourism development. Both Xianren Lake and Deyue Lake are located within the township, 15 kilometers west of Dezhou City and 5 kilometers east of the county seat, offering convenient transportation. With a water surface area of 25,000 mu, it is the largest artificial lake in northwestern Shandong, resembling two brilliant pearls embedded in the plains of the region, and is known as the "Heavenly Pool on Earth." Xianren Lake gets its name from its proximity to the "Xianren Bridge," which was bestowed during the time when Liu Bei was building his kingdom. It serves as a water storage facility for the national key project, Huaneng Dezhou Power Plant. Land was acquired for its construction in 1987, and it was completed and filled with water in 1990. Water from the Yellow River enters the lake through the Panzhuang Yellow River Diversion Canal and the Majia River, and is then supplied to the Huaneng Dezhou Power Plant via pipelines. With a water surface area of 11,000 mu, along with the surrounding expanse of green vegetation, it creates a fresh and unique microclimate spanning several miles. The vast waters are clean, frequented by migratory birds, abundant in fish and shrimp, with fresh air and pleasant scenery. There are nearly a hundred tourist boats of various grades, making it an ideal destination for travel, vacation, recuperation, and fishing.

Deyue Lake was completed in October 1997 and is known as the sister lake of Xianren Lake. With a water surface area of 14,000 mu, it serves as a drinking water source for both the Dezhou urban area and the Ling County urban area, while also regulating water supply for local agricultural use. Originally named "Dingdong Reservoir" due to its location east of Dingzhuang Village, where the Dingzhuang Township government is situated, some also playfully refer to it as "Dingdong Reservoir" based on its homophonic sound, making it the largest artificial lake in northwestern Shandong. It earned the name "Deyue Lake" because, when viewed from above, the dam and the two wave-dividing embankments resemble the Chinese character for "moon" (月). The lake is surrounded by lush vegetation, and its superior natural conditions attract a large number of water birds, creating a unique landscape of "water and sky blending together, with fish and birds dancing in harmony." Additionally, the area features cherry orchards, hunting grounds, fish ponds, and fishing spots, combining sightseeing, tourism, ecology, and gourmet experiences into one, making it an emerging tourist attraction in Dezhou.
