Ancient City of Yaci

The Ancient City of Yaci is a cultural relic protection unit of Shandong Province.

The Ancient City of Yaci is located in Shentou Town, Lingcheng District, Dezhou City, dating back to the Qin Dynasty.

Shentou Town has a long history and has undergone several name changes. Emperor Qin Shi Huang established Yaci County in Shentou, which was under the jurisdiction of Pingyuan Commandery. In the fourth year of Yuankang during the reign of Emperor Xuan of Han (62 BC), Yaci County was abolished and replaced with Fuping Marquisate. The ruins of the Ancient City of Yaci are situated in the western part of Shentou Town. On the cliff face of the ancient city ruins, a large number of Han Dynasty bricks, tiles, and pottery fragments have been discovered, with cultural strata up to two to three meters thick.

On June 23, 2015, the Ancient City of Yaci was announced by the People's Government of Shandong Province as part of the fifth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units in Shandong.

Shentou Town: Shentou Town covers a total area of 110.4 square kilometers, including 91,000 mu of arable land. The town administers 98 administrative villages with a total population of 53,000. The town government is located at the junction of Yongguan Road and Shenzi Road, enjoying a superior geographical position.

Significant achievements have been made in investment attraction. Two projects have been introduced to the development zone: one is the Dezhou Huiguang Stainless Steel Products Co., Ltd., with an investment of 30 million yuan, solely developed by Mr. Lü Qiang from Taizhou, Jiangsu. It has commenced operation and production, processing over 5,000 tons of various types of stainless steel pipes annually, achieving an output value of 700...
