“Impression Daxuezhuang” is a Beautiful and Leisurely Village in China and a national AAA-level tourist attraction. Since the beginning of this year, the scenic area has continuously improved its management and added popular tourism elements that appeal to visitors, resulting in more attractions and highlights that have also boosted local tourism.

At “Impression Daxuezhuang,” the most popular attraction is the first glass suspension footbridge in Dezhou — the Impression Daxuezhuang Dragon Bridge. Most visitors come to “Impression Daxuezhuang” specifically to see the bridge. Xue Chuanqiao, the person in charge of the scenic area, said that since its opening on September 29, the glass bridge has welcomed nearly 370,000 visitors. According to reports, the glass bridge has a total investment of over 5 million yuan, is 94.5 meters long, 2 meters wide, spans the Majiacha River, and is 7 meters above the water surface. The biggest highlight of the bridge is the fully transparent high-altitude viewing experience and the 9E sound, light, and electric special effects devices. When visitors step on the interactive display screen, a “glass shattering” effect is triggered. Coupled with the height and transparency, it provides visitors with a full sensory stimulation experience involving sight, sound, and touch.

Viewing chrysanthemums is another highlight of the “Impression Daxuezhuang” scenic area. Stepping into the over 10-acre chrysanthemum greenhouse is like entering a world of chrysanthemums. Over 40,000 chrysanthemum plants of more than 1,200 varieties are grown here. Immersed in this kingdom of chrysanthemums, visitors can admire the sea of flowers and enjoy their fragrance, making it hard to leave. Xue Chuanqiao said, “We combine chrysanthemum cultivation with leisure tourism by leveraging their characteristics — they are ornamental, edible, medicinal, and suitable for educational research — to develop a chrysanthemum tourism industry project, achieving an effective integration of economic and social benefits from chrysanthemum cultivation.”

Located in the northwest of Dingzhuang Town, Lingcheng District, Daxuezhuang has in recent years leveraged ecological resources such as the Immortal Lake, Majia River, and Majiacha River water systems to develop rural tourism themed around leisure fishing and fruit-picking experiences. This year, it has added new projects including a shared orchard, holiday wooden cabin homestays, a glass suspension footbridge, and a chrysanthemum sea, continuously enriching its tourism offerings.
