Gengliyang Community in Dezhou City is located at the source of the “Three Rivers”—the South Canal, Chahe River, and Jianhe River—where nine other rivers, including the Wei Canal, Liuwu River, Niujiaoyu River, and the Yellow River-to-Tianjin Diversion Canal, converge, forming a well-developed water system.

Gengliyang Community is only 1.5 kilometers from the Siniushi Scenic Area and is the main route from Decheng District to the scenic spot; the historic lock on the old canal route is well preserved, and the two Chinese characters for “Lock” (船闸), inscribed by calligrapher Shu Tong, attract many visitors. The area also features an old park left behind after the construction of a Soviet-built water lock, surrounded by ancient trees and home to tens of thousands of egrets every year.
