Baihua Spring is located under a rocky cliff at the summit of Mount Qingtong in Baihuaquan Village, Shiliuhe Town, on the southeastern side. The area sits at an altitude of over 700 meters — as high as the mountain rises, so does the water. The spring pool is irregular in shape, with steep cliffs on the northern and eastern sides, a precipitous slope to the south, and only the western side being relatively flat and accessible by a path. Baihua Spring has a strong and steady flow, cascading down the mountainside. According to the Kangxi-era Gazetteer of Jinan Prefecture, it “plunges and flows in twisting paths, revealing its serene beauty as it runs through Solitary Hill into the Flowery River.” The spring earned its name due to the lush greenery and blooming flowers around it, with petals and leaves often floating on the water’s surface.

Transport tip: Take bus 65 from Quanfu Overpass to reach the Shiliuhe Town government.
