Tangye Mountain Park

Tangye Mountain Park is located in the center of the Tangye New District, at the northeast corner of the intersection between Tangye Middle Road and Century Avenue. Relying on the natural environment and integrating historical context and regional characteristics, it is planned with twelve landscape nodes, each with distinct features. These include poetic spaces of plants, nature, architecture, and culture, as well as embodying the artistic conception of garden design.

The mountain greening area is dominated by evergreen pines and cypresses, supplemented by shrubs and ground cover plants; the spring-flowering shrub area features crabapple and cherry blossoms, paired with Bauhinia, Crape Myrtle, and evergreen shrubs; the floral plant area uses perennial flowers as the main feature, combined with climbing plants, hedges, and evergreens such as cedar; the large tree and foliage plant area centers on mature trees to create a dense and lush forest effect, complemented by a selection of autumn foliage plants to highlight the eastern hill’s unique vegetation; the garden cultural space is richly planted with species that reflect historical and garden culture, forming a poetic landscape; the large tree and flower area features full-crowned trees and flowers, emphasizing the openness and grandeur of the plaza.

The Licheng District gardening authorities constructed the southwest entrance, two secondary entrances on the south side, walking paths, platform paving, rest pavilions, rockeries, and completed the greening work on the southern hill. They also finished the park’s west gate, north main gate, eastern hill access, main uphill road, western main intersection, irrigation pipelines, as well as the park’s road network system, watchtower, and afforestation tasks. Once completed, Tangye Mountain Park will feature six major functional zones: the Natural Recreation Area, Spring Blossom Viewing Area, Themed Landscape Area, Historical Culture and Service Area, Mountain Conservation and Sightseeing Area, and Leisure Fitness Area. It will serve as a comprehensive mountain park integrating public recreation, sports and entertainment, and cultural leisure.
