Tangye Ruins

The Tangye Ruins are a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Shandong Province.

The Tangye Ruins are located in Tangye Subdistrict, Licheng District, Jinan City, dating back to the Shang and Han dynasties.

The Tangye Ruins are located to the south of Tashan Mountain in Tangye Village, Guodian Town, Licheng District, Jinan City, with central geographical coordinates at 36°41′ north latitude and 117°13′ east longitude, and an elevation of 90–92 meters. The site is situated on the piedmont plain north of Mount Tai, flanked by low hills and mountains extending from the southern mountainous region to the east and west. Many rivers originate in the southern mountains, flow northward across the plain, and empty into the Xiaoqing River. Among them, the Tu River and Liugong River flank the site to the east and west, with deep and wide riverbeds. According to historical records, during the Zhou Dynasty, this area included the settlements of Luoyi, Anyi, Taiyi, Baoi, Pinglingyi, and the state of Tan, which were later incorporated into the State of Qi. During the Han Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Jinan Commandery, belonging to the states of Qi, Lü, and Jinan. From the Wei, Jin, to the Liu Song period, it was part of Lincheng County, Jinan Commandery, Qingzhou. In the Tang Dynasty, it was Lincheng County, Jinan Commandery, Henan Circuit. The Jinan Prefecture was established starting in the Song Dynasty, and the area now belongs to Licheng District, Jinan City.

On June 23, 2015, the Tangye Ruins were designated as part of the fifth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Tangye Subdistrict: Tangye Subdistrict Office administers 15 administrative villages, comprising the original seven villages from Guodian Town—Pengjiazhuang, Xizaoyuan, He'erzhuang, Chengjiazhuang, Tangye West, Tangye North, and Tangye South—and the original eight villages from Gangou Town—Anjiazhuang, Zhanglingqiu I, Zhanglingqiu II, Zhanglingqiu III, Beiguanzhuang, Daguanzhuang, Xinxing Village, and Dongxing Village.
