Jinan Kaiyuan Temple

Jinan Kaiyuan Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Jinan Kaiyuan Temple is located in a deep valley beneath the peak of Fohui Mountain, southeast of Thousand Buddha Mountain. The mountain also features the Giant Buddha Head, a free scenic area where visitors can come for exercise. From the mountaintop, look up at the clear sky or down at the hazy urban area of Jinan. On a hike to Yanzishan, as I ventured deeper into the mountains, I suddenly discovered the location of the Giant Buddha Head. Then, with a sense of exploration, I continued walking through the mountain paths. Eventually, I saw the Giant Buddha Head halfway up the mountain. There are also incense sellers there, and during holidays, worshippers come to light incense and set off firecrackers. In spring, the wildflowers and peach blossoms in the mountains bloom late. Visiting in May, you can still see peach blossoms. In April, the mountains are covered with blooming winter jasmine.

Transportation

Take bus No. 137, K169, or K170 to Huanggong Dajiudian Station, then enter the mountain from the east side of the hotel to reach the foot of Fohui Mountain.
