Donggao Spring

Donggao Spring is located on the right side inside the entrance of Wanzhu Garden (now Baotu Spring Park). The spring pool is built with bricks and stones in a square shape, measuring approximately 2 meters in both length and width, and 1.5 meters in depth. The pool walls are made of stone, and the words "Donggao Spring" are inscribed in large characters on the eastern wall. Its name comes from the fact that the spring water gushes out at a relatively high level above the ground. Because the spring appears to be "suspended a hundred feet high," it is thus named "Donggao Spring"...
