The former site of the Qing Dynasty Shandong Governor’s Mansion is located in Daming Lake Subdistrict, Lixia District, Jinan City, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

On June 23, 2015, the former site of the Qing Dynasty Shandong Governor’s Mansion was designated as part of the fifth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Established in December 1962, the office was named after its jurisdiction within the area inside the old city’s East Gate. According to Jinan Municipal People’s Government Document Ji Zheng Zi [2003] No. 95 and Lixia District People’s Government Document [2003] No. 42, it was renamed Daming Lake Subdistrict Office on January 1, 2004.
