The Peacock Mountain Scenic Area is located in Xingjiayu Village, Xueye Town. It borders the Qi Great Wall to the north, neighbors Huashan Forest Park to the west, connects to Xuanyang Diaogu Mountain to the south, and lies adjacent to Xueye Lake and Ma’anshan Mountain to the east. Surrounded by mountains on three sides and water on one, the tourism area spans 4.3 kilometers from east to west and 5.2 kilometers from north to south, covering a total area of 22.36 square kilometers. The terrain is gently sloped in the east and steep in the west, with the highest elevation at 800 meters and the lowest at 306 meters. The scenic area features rugged peaks and unique rocks, with major landscapes including Dazhou Mountain, Xuanyang Diaogu Mountain, Heishan Mountain, and Roof Ridge Ridge. Key attractions encompass over 20 sites such as the Immortal Pavilion, Longevity Forest, Chaoyang Cave, Lovers' Cabin, former munitions factory ruins, Mountain Spring Pavilion, Heaven’s Crack, and Deer Farm. The area is perennially graced with flowing streams, shaded by lush trees and blooming flowers, and is home to hundreds of species of birds and animals. With fresh air, beautiful surroundings, and picturesque mountains and waters, visitors may feel as if they’ve entered a paradise on earth — a place so enchanting that they won’t want to leave. Xueye Subdistrict: Located in Xueye Town, Laicheng District, Laiwu City, it was formed in January 2001 through the merger of the former Shangyou, Xueye, and Luye towns. Situated in the northern mountainous region of Laiwu City, it borders Zhangqiu to the north and Zibo to the east, and was historically a strategic pass of the ancient Jinyang Pass.
