Xiaosanxian Memorial Park

Xiaosanxian Memorial Park is located in Tazi Village, Gaozhuang Subdistrict, Laizhou District. It is primarily based on the former Shandong People's Printing Factory (No. 709) and expanded to include content from other Xiaosanxian factories such as No. 17, No. 15, No. 674, No. 701, and No. 9363. With the theme of “Keeping the Big Picture in Mind and Devoting with Loyalty,” the park strives to become a well-known, multifunctional base with both provincial and national influence, serving as a comprehensive party-building activity center, traditional education base, film and science popularization base, and industrial heritage tourism destination.

The memorial park features preserved facilities including workshops, warehouses, dormitories, canteens, clubs, and schools, covering an area of 48,000 square meters. Due to their sturdy structure and relatively late abandonment, these sites have been well maintained. The first phase of the project repurposed the original Workshop No. 1, covering 1,800 square meters, into the “Shandong Xiaosanxian Memorial Hall.” By integrating historical images, sculptures, and simulated art, the exhibition follows the thematic sequence of “Uncovering Memories, Stormy Times, Strategic Rear Area, Patriotic Sentiment, and Timeless Ballad” to showcase the spirit of the builders during the Third Front Construction period—responding to the Party’s call, demonstrating unwavering loyalty, pioneering through hardship, and making selfless contributions. It serves to educate Party members and cadres to always stay true to their original aspirations, keep their mission firmly in mind, and strive for progress and take on responsibilities in their respective positions.

Tazi Village: Tazi Village is located 5 kilometers south of Laicheng and 3 kilometers southwest of the subdistrict office. It lies in a hilly area and is known for the Canglong Gorge to its west. From the village, one can see Lotus Mountain in the distance, and closer views include Tuan Mountain, Jiutiaoyu, and Beidou Cliff. The eastern ridges, Wanshan Mountain, and Mangdang Mountain stretch all the way to the front of the village. To the west are the Lujia River and Canglong Gorge, with flowing water year-round. Across the river and over Xiling is Quanli Village, which shares a land border. To the east, crossing Wanshan leads to Shipeng Village. In ancient times, the official road from Laicheng to Xintai passed through the village. Five li south along this road is Lujiazhuang, and Hulin Front Village lies to the north of Tazi. Tazi Village has 296 households and a population of 960.
