The Beiqiao Tomb Cluster is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Shandong Province.

Beiqiao Tomb Cluster

Located in Zhanying Village, Laohu Town, Dongping County, it is the burial site of Liu Cang, the King of Dongping during the Eastern Han Dynasty, and his descendants, also known as the "Wangling Mountain Han Tombs." The cluster originally had nine tombs, commonly called the "Nine Sons' Tombs," all featuring large earthen mounds that are arranged in a V-shape from south to north. The northernmost Tomb No. 1 is the tomb of King Liu Cang, which currently has an earthen mound over 20 meters high and about 300 meters in diameter, with clearly visible rammed earth layers. Other tombs, such as Nos. 2, 4, 8, and 9, still have earthen mounds preserved to varying degrees. Tombs Nos. 5, 6, and 7 were destroyed during the Cultural Revolution.

In 1958, the Shandong Provincial Cultural Relics Management Office excavated Tomb No. 3, unearthing a relatively well-preserved set of jade burial suits sewn with gold thread, as well as a large collection of artifacts including gold and silverware, bronze and ironware, jade cups, ear cups, and pottery jars—all characteristic of early Eastern Han Dynasty relics. The Beiqiao Tomb Cluster is a key provincial cultural heritage site in Shandong Province.
