The Wangcun Tomb Cluster is a cultural relic protection unit of Tai’an City.

Wangcun Tomb Cluster

Located to the south and north of Wangcun Village in Dongping Town, Dongping County, the site consists of earthen mound tombs from the Han Dynasty. There are currently two surviving tombs: Tomb No. 1 to the south of the village, with a mound 14 meters high and 40 meters in diameter; and Tomb No. 2 to the north, with a mound 12 meters high and 60 meters in diameter, composed of grayish-white silt soil. Both tombs feature distinct rammed earth layers and are largely intact, though details about the burial chamber structures and grave goods are not available. Originally, there were many Han Dynasty earthen mound tombs in the area around Wangcun, but most were destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. The Wangcun Tomb Cluster is a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit.
