Located on the mountainside of Mount Lashan in Yingshan Town, Dongping County, overlooking Dongping Lake to the south, it is a Taoist temple complex covering an area of approximately 14,000 square meters. Built against the mountain with its entrance facing west, the temple includes the Jade Emperor Hall, Three Pure Ones Hall, Heavenly King Hall, and Scripture Depository, along with a South Heaven Gate to the south—all built during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The courtyard houses several Ming and Qing stone tablets, while outside the courtyard can be found natural wonders such as the Dragon-Spitting Cypress and Immortal’s Well. Xianglong Temple is a municipal-level cultural heritage site.

Yingshan Town: Renowned worldwide for its connection to the classic novel "Water Margin," this area was once the heroic birthplace of the uprising led by Chao Gai and other outlaws. It lies at the western center of the remaining waters of the legendary "Eight Hundred Li Marsh," where many tales from "Water Margin" took place.

Yingshan Town is situated at the border between Shandong and Henan provinces, at the junction of Dongping, Yanggu, Taiqian, and Liangshan counties. It borders the Yellow River to the west and Shandong Province’s second-largest freshwater lake—Dongping Lake—to the east.
