Mosque

Located in Zhoucheng Town, Dongping County, the mosque serves as a religious site for the local Muslim community. Covering an area of about 6 mu, it was first built during the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty and has undergone renovations during the Ming, Qing, Republic of China, and modern periods. It is the largest mosque in western Shandong. The mosque faces east and is arranged from east to west with the main gate, courtyard, front hall, rear hall, viewing platform, and more. The front hall is the main prayer hall, featuring a gabled roof with gray tiles and a hip-and-gable architectural style. It is five bays wide and three bays deep, with an internal structure of four beams and eight pillars. There are side chambers on each side, supported by wooden columns and topped with gray tiles. The rear hall is connected to the front hall by a gutter and features a hip-and-gable roof with five ridges and bracket sets, showcasing an exquisitely unique design. Its decorations exhibit distinctive Arabic ethnic characteristics. The mosque is a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit.

It covers a total area of 72 square kilometers, with 57,000 mu of arable land, administers 71 administrative villages, and has a population of 63,000.

Zhoucheng enjoys a superior geographical environment and profound cultural heritage. It is located in the southwestern part of Dongping County, bordered by Dongping Lake to the west, the Daqing River to the north, and National Highway 105 and the Jining–Heze Expressway to the east.
