Shangshu Forest

Shangshu Forest is a cultural relic protection unit in Shandong Province.

Shangshu Forest is located in Timen Town, Dongping County. It dates back to the Ming Dynasty. In 2013, it was designated by the People's Government of Shandong Province as part of the fourth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Relics Protection Units in Shandong.

Timen Town: Timen Township is located in the northwest of Dongping County, about 15 kilometers from the county seat. It borders Dayang Township to the east, adjoins Dongping Town to the south, lies adjacent to Dongping Lake to the west, and neighbors Pingyin County to the north. The total area is 81.6 square kilometers, with arable land covering 68,000 mu, and the region is roughly divided equally between mountainous and plain areas. It governs 13 administrative villages with a total population of 38,000.

The area enjoys convenient transportation, a rich cultural heritage, simple folk customs, and abundant resources. It is traversed by National Highway 105 to the east and National Highway 220 to the west, with Provincial Highway 250 running through the township.
