The Silver Mountain Stone Carvings are a cultural relic protection unit of Shandong Province.

The Silver Mountain Stone Carvings are located in Yinzhen Town, Dongping County, dating back to the Northern Dynasties, Song Dynasty, and Qing Dynasty.

On June 23, 2015, the Silver Mountain Stone Carvings were designated as part of the fifth batch of Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Yinzhen Town: Made famous worldwide by the classic novel "Water Margin," this area was once home to the heroic uprising led by Chao Gai and other outlaws. It lies at the western center of the remaining waters of the legendary "Eight Hundred Li Marsh," where many tales from "Water Margin" took place.

Yinzhen Town is located at the border between Shandong and Henan provinces, at the junction of Dongping, Yanggu, Taiqian, and Liangshan counties. It borders the Yellow River to the west and the Dongping Lake—the second largest freshwater lake in Shandong Province—to the east. The town has 44 administrative villages, covers an area of 104.5 square kilometers, has a population of 56,000, and 52,000 mu of arable land.
