Dongping Daimiao Sluice is a cultural heritage protection unit of Shandong Province.

Dongping Daimiao Sluice is located in Daimiao Town, Dongping County, and dates back to the Ming Dynasty.

On October 10, 2013, Dongping Daimiao Sluice was designated as part of the fourth batch of Provincial-level Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Daimiao Town: Daimiao Township is the westernmost township in Tai’an City, situated at the border between Henan and Shandong provinces. It lies west of the Yellow River and east of Dongping Lake, covering a total area of 110 square kilometers with a population of 34,000, of which 1% are Hui people. The township has a long history, numerous historical sites, profound cultural heritage, and a simple folk culture, and is known as a pearl on the land of southwestern Shandong. According to records, during the Hongwu era of the Ming Dynasty, a family surnamed Dai built a village here and constructed a temple nearby, hence the name "Daimiao" (Dai’s Temple).
