Guide The valley is covered with medicinal herbs and treasures everywhere. What makes Taohuayu famous and even more enchanting is the renowned Red-scaled Fish of Mount Tai, which dart among the crevices and algae, their movements nimble and graceful. Compared to other hiking routes up the mountain, the Taohuayu trail is the most convenient, especially for travelers coming by road from the north. Upon arriving at the scenic area, visitors can take a bus and then a cable car to reach the mountaintop with ease. A Yuan Dynasty Taoist priest, Zhang Zhichun, wrote a poem: “Flowing water comes from the heavenly cave, connecting the mortal world in a single vein. The Peach Blossom Spring is not far, as fallen petals float on crimson waves.” The Peach Blossom Spring area has a cable car that takes you directly to the summit of Mount Tai. Highlights Here, the mountains are lush and green, the waters calm and the sands pristine, offering a tranquil natural environment with refreshingly fragrant air—visitors feel as if they’ve entered a paradise on earth. The valley is filled with medicinal herbs and treasures everywhere. Located on the western foothills of Mount Tai, the upper section is called Peach Blossom Spring, while the lower section is known as Taohuayu. In ancient times, it was named for the valley filled with peach blossoms. It also draws inspiration from the Tang Dynasty poet Li He’s verse “Peach blossoms fall in a shower of crimson rain,” and has been referred to as Hongyu Chuan or Hongfu Chuan.

Transportation

The hiking entrance is just 3 kilometers west of National Highway 104, allowing self-driving visitors from the north to reach the gate without entering Tai’an. Alternatively, you can take a tourist shuttle bus from Tai’an Railway Station or descend by cable car from the summit.

Ticket

No separate ticket required. It is included in the Mount Tai scenic area ticket.
