Peach Blossom Valley of Mount Tai is located on the western foothills of Mount Tai and was named in ancient times for the peach blossoms that once filled the valley.

Legend has it that in the old days, there were numerous peach trees in the valley, blooming one after another from the slopes to the mountaintop from early March to April, creating a sea of red. Hence, the ancients also called this place “Red Rain Stream.”

The stream waters of Peach Blossom Valley are formed by the convergence of three clear streams: one from Upper Peach Valley, another from Dragon Horn Mountain, and the third from Wild Goose Valley. These three streams merge in Peach Blossom Valley and flow downstream together. As a result, the valley’s stream maintains a strong flow even during dry years—an exceptional feature on Mount Tai—truly living up to its name as a “Peach Blossom Valley.”

The stones in the valley stream vary in size, each uniquely shaped and exquisitely transparent, sparking the imagination.
