Xicheng Village

Xicheng Village is located at the eastern foot of Mount Tai and the northeastern corner of Tai'an City, bordering Fengtai and Shanggao to the south, adjacent to Huangshantou Village to the west, and facing Xinglongzhuang Village and Xiayu Dongcheng Village to the east. The village is under the jurisdiction of Taiqian Subdistrict, Taishan District, and consists of four natural villages: Jingke, Zhangjiazhuang, Dongcun, and Xicheng Residential Area.

To better promote rural tourism, since 1996, through the efforts of the village Party branch and local residents, the main roads in the village have been paved with cement, and access roads to various scenic spots have also been hardened. The village has long been covered in greenery. When the east wind brings warmth, the earth revives in spring, plants sprout, and peach buds begin to bloom, the valley is filled with fragrance and vibrant spring energy. Xicheng Village and the nearby Hanming Hall behind the villagers become a paradise for hiking, spring outings, and leisure vacations. In summer, the entire Xicheng Village turns into a sea of green, with birds chirping in competition, creating a fairy-tale-like atmosphere. The temperature in Xicheng Village is about 2–4°C lower than in Tai'an City, making it a natural summer retreat. The gentle breeze brings a refreshing and uniquely soothing feeling. In autumn, five-angled maple, pineapple trees, wild crabapple, and other plants display patches of red leaves amidst flowers and seedlings, resembling embroidered silk. Scenic area plants such as daylilies, lilies, wild grapes, and cinnamon vines show golden, bright red, and fruitful hues. When winter arrives, the snow-covered Hanming Hall presents a magnificent and spectacular sight. To accommodate rural tourism activities, Xicheng Village has now established six unique dining venues featuring Mount Tai flavors. Notable dishes include "Braised Chicken with Flos Dendrobii," "Three Treasures of Mount Tai," and "Fish Head Stewed with Pancakes." Various cold dishes made from wild vegetables, as well as pastes made from locust flower and elm seeds, are among the most distinctive delicacies showcasing the unique flavors of Mount Tai. Through the chefs’ exquisite culinary skills, visitors can enjoy healthy, cultural, and uniquely local dishes they won’t find elsewhere.
