The Shishi Memorial Archway in Shanggao is located in Shanggao Subdistrict, Taishan District, Tai’an City, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

On June 23, 2015, the Shishi Memorial Archway in Shanggao was designated as part of the fifth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People’s Government of Shandong Province.

Shanggao Subdistrict: The Shanggao Subdistrict Office is situated in the eastern part of Tai’an City, in the central area of Taishan District. It borders Shengzhuang Town to the east, Daomiao Subdistrict to the west, and Taian Subdistrict to the north, and adjoins Beijipo Town of Daiyue District to the south. The terrain is higher in the north and lower in the south, spanning approximately 7.5 kilometers from east to west and about 4.02 kilometers from north to south, covering a total area of 30.18 square kilometers. The subdistrict governs 20 villages (including 34 natural villages) and 3 communities. There are three postal and telecommunications branches within its jurisdiction: 611, 581, and 854, as well as two substations (the Shanggao Substation and the Development Zone Substation).
