Liming Art Palace

Liming Art Palace is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

The Liming Art Palace covers a construction area of over 51,600 square meters, making it the largest art palace on a university campus in China themed around campus culture. Although the currently open exhibition spaces are not luxuriously decorated, their authentic charm and intrinsic cultural depth give them a simple and elegant appeal. It includes 21 specialized museums such as the Chinese Plaque Museum, the Museum of Human Mysteries, the Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum, the Porcelain Painting Art Museum, the Bronze Ware Museum, the Jade Museum, and the Classical Furniture Museum. The vast number of collections, wide range of categories, large scale, and comprehensive audience reach are rare globally, leading some to call it a “mini Forbidden City.” Especially noteworthy are its ten most treasured exhibits, which are truly astonishing and have never been seen before.

Over 3,200 invaluable ancient plaques and more than 4,000 porcelain paintings, treasured in the Liming Art Palace, have begun the process of applying for World Cultural Heritage status. In the near future, this site will become another important (AAAA-level) campus cultural tourism destination in China—following prestigious universities such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, Xiamen University, and Wuhan University—and a global youth study travel base.
