Qixia Gu Dui Site

The Qixia Gu Dui Site is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Shandong Province.

The Qixia Gu Dui Site is located about 300 meters northwest of Manzhuang Village, Liguo Town, on the north side of the Pidian–Liguo Highway. To the east lies an apple orchard, and to the west is an irrigation canal. The site rises about 14 meters above the ground. Its top measures 38 meters from north to south and 26 meters from east to west; the base extends 110 meters from east to west and 90 meters from north to south, with a summit area of 990 square meters. At the top there was originally a Qixia Temple, which was once listed as one of the top ten ancient scenic spots of Yutai County under the name “Qixia Sunset Glow.” The temple no longer exists, and only one Tang Dynasty stele remains. The inscription on the stele is “Buddhist Scriptures of the Qixia Temple Lecture Hall,” written by Zhu Huaiyin, a Jinshi scholar and official, and inscribed by Xu Boxing, a Xuan De Lang and cavalry commander. According to expert research, the section of the site from the top down to 8 meters below is part of the Longshan Culture site; from 8 meters to 6.5 meters above the base is the Zhou and Shang Culture site; and from the top down 1.5 meters is the Tang Dynasty culture layer. In October 1985, it was designated as a municipal-level key cultural relics protection unit.
