The Pan Family Mansion

The Pan Family Mansion is a cultural relic protection unit of Shandong Province.

The Pan Family Mansion is located on Guhuai North Road, originally on the west side of Beimen Street. Built in the 1920s, it was the largest private residence of a government official in Jining at the time. The Pan Family Mansion is not a single standalone building, but rather a complex of traditional quadrangle courtyards arranged in four courtyards in and out. Its main structure is a three-story enclosed building that connects from east to west and north to south. It sits backed by a mountain and facing water, with the mountain being Yushan and the water being the Grand Canal, making it the highest point in the entire city.

The owner of the mansion, Pan Hongjun, styled Zihé and also known as Bólì, was the commander of the First Central Brigade under the warlord Wu Peifu of the Zhili Clique.
