Shiqiao Ten-Thousand-Mu Lotus Garden

Shiqiao Town in Rencheng District borders the South Four Lakes and North Lake Tourist Resort, connecting to the urban area of Jining to the north and west. The area has over 20,000 mu of coal mining subsidence land, with nearly 5,000 mu planted with lotus roots. The under-construction Linhe Highway runs east-west across the region, providing favorable conditions and a solid foundation for developing tourism-oriented agriculture. To comprehensively manage the coal mining subsidence land and utilize the water areas formed by subsidence for tourism development, in 2009, the Shiqiao Town government and the district tourism department commissioned Beijing Dayan Zhiyong Tourism Planning and Design Institute to prepare the "Qilu Heritage Agricultural Culture Park Development and Construction Plan." The Qilu Heritage Agricultural Culture Park covers a total planned area of over 11,000 mu, including more than 5,000 mu of coal mining subsidence land, with the project's core area spanning 244.33 hectares (3,665 mu). The core area primarily features multiple functions such as ecology, tourism, culture, and catering, and is systematically constructed under a "theme park + main community" model. Once completed, it will be able to systematically showcase agricultural heritage culture, offer a full range of experiences in agricultural production and Qilu folk customs, and also serve ecological and environmental protection functions.
