Jining City Exhibition Hall

The Jining City Exhibition Hall is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Jining City Exhibition Hall was invested in by the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, and is managed and operated by the Jining Urban and Rural Planning Bureau. It is a comprehensive urban exhibition hall integrating city displays, science education, and academic exchanges.

The exhibition hall is situated in the Tai Bai Lake New District, north of Jining Avenue, with a total construction area of 16,000 square meters and three floors. Designed under the leadership of Academician Cui Kai of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the building features an elegant and dignified exterior with rich symbolism. Each exhibition space is designed as an individual “city,” connected under a grand “roof” with traditional Chinese architectural characteristics, symbolizing the spatial structure of Jining’s urban agglomeration. The architecture showcases powerful structural aesthetics through its deep, graceful overhangs, transparent glass curtain walls, and the grand roof.

The exhibition hall adopts the theme “Hometown of Confucius and Mencius, Canal Capital, Cultural Jining.” It includes eight major exhibition zones and 36 exhibits: the Introductory Hall, Cultural Jining, Ancient City Chronicles, Vast Cultural Heritage, Construction Achievements, Integrated Transportation, Eco-Livable City, and Water City Charm. Incorporating audiovisual, lighting, and digital technologies, the displays use a variety of methods such as graphic panels, model displays, multimedia presentations, interactive screens, phantom imaging, holographic projections, and electronic flipbooks to present Jining’s profound cultural roots, urban development journey, new-era construction achievements, and a bright future from multiple perspectives, composing a harmonious symphony of “water, culture, and people.”

Under the correct leadership of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, the exhibition hall has been awarded numerous honors in its first year of operation, including “Municipal Science Education Base,” “Shandong Province Science Education Base,” “Jining City Education Base for Caring for the Next Generation,” “Municipal Youth Civilization Unit,” “National AAA-Level Tourist Attraction,” and serves as an on-site teaching site for political ethics education by the Municipal Party School and the University of Technology.
