Qiantun Site

The Qiantun Site is a cultural heritage site protected at the Shandong provincial level.

The Qiantun Site is located in Ershilipu Subdistrict, Rencheng District, Jining City. It dates back to the Neolithic Age through the Han Dynasty. In 2013, the Qiantun Site was designated as part of the fourth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the Shandong Provincial People’s Government.

Ershilipu Subdistrict: Ershilipu Town in Rencheng District is located 8 kilometers north of Jining City. It covers a total area of 67.8 square kilometers, with 75,000 mu of arable land, and governs 53 administrative villages, with a population of 46,000. In the early years after the founding of the People’s Republic, it served as the seat of the Jining County government. In 1958, a people’s commune was established, which was transformed into a township in 1984, and then upgraded to a town in May 1985.

Enjoying a superior location and abundant resources, Ershilipu Town is situated at the junction of Rencheng, Wenshang, and Yanzhou counties, serving as the northern gateway to Jining City. The Rizhao–Dongming Expressway runs east–west, and National Highway 105 stretches from north to south, providing highly convenient transportation.
