The Site of Tianjing Sluice is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Shandong Province.

The Site of Tianjing Sluice is located in Yuehe Subdistrict, central district of Jining City, dating back to the Tang and Yuan dynasties.

On October 10, 2013, the Site of Tianjing Sluice was designated as part of the fourth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Yuehe Subdistrict: Yuehe Subdistrict is situated in the central-southwestern urban area of Jining City, Shandong Province, on the southern bank of the Yuehe River. It is named after the Yuehe River within its jurisdiction. The Yuehe River was dug in the ninth year of the Yongle reign during the Ming Dynasty (1411), and got its name because it lies south of the Grand Canal. Viewed from the south of the prefectural seat, it stretches beyond the old southern gate of the city and the canal by about three li, hence the name “Yuehe” (meaning “Crossing River”). It is also called “Yuehe” (meaning “Crescent River”) due to the crescent-like shape and flow direction of its riverbed.
