The Site of the Ink-Washing Spring is a cultural relic protection unit of Shandong Province.

The Site of the Ink-Washing Spring is located in Fǔqiáo Subdistrict, downtown Jining City, dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties.

On October 10, 2013, the Site of the Ink-Washing Spring was designated as part of the fourth batch of Shandong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Fǔqiáo Subdistrict: Fǔqiáo Subdistrict is located in the central urban area of Jining. It houses the district government. The subdistrict office is situated on the Communist Youth League Road. Notable historical sites include the Ink-Washing Spring, which is a municipal-level key cultural relics protection unit.

- Historical Development

Originally named Ānfù Qiáo (Peaceful Prosperity Bridge), Fǔqiáo (Prosperity Bridge) was derived from the meaning of peace and prosperity for the people. The Anfu Bridge was built during the Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty, spanning a tributary of the Fu River within the jurisdiction of this subdistrict office, and was later simply called Fǔqiáo. Before liberation, it was commonly known as Southeast Pass. In 1948, it was called the Third District; in 1956, it was renamed Yùndōng Subdistrict (East of the Canal Subdistrict); in 1957, it was divided into Fǔqiáo and Yùnhé (Canal) Subdistricts; in 1960, they were merged into Fǔqiáo Commune; and in 1965, they were again separated into Fǔqiáo and Yùnhé...
