Tiangongyuan Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The "Tiangongyuan Scenic Area of Shandong Polytechnic College" is a national AAA-level tourist attraction. Tiangongyuan Scenic Area is a modern tourist destination that combines cultural education, tourism, and leisure experiences. It is divided into seven functional zones: Intangible Cultural Heritage, the University History Museum, and Patriotic Education Zone; Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Education Zone; Entrepreneurship and International Education Zone; New Energy and Aviation & Maritime Education Zone; Cultural & Sports Activity Experience Zone; University Science & Technology Park; and Food & Lifestyle Zone. Among them, the most representative and largest in area is the Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance Base, covering a construction area of about 5,000 square meters. Its first to fourth floors are divided into four major sections: First Floor: The Charm of Water – Canal Culture & Four Lakes Culture; Second Floor: The Origin of Confucianism – Confucian Culture & Ancestral Culture; Third Floor: The Soul of Craftsmanship – Artisan Spirit & Skill Inheritance; Fourth Floor: The Fragrance of Ink – Calligraphy & Painting Unity & Literary Ambience.

To ensure the inheritance and development of intangible cultural heritage, there are currently eight traditional culture workshops, including Liu Chengkai Calligraphy, Qi Kaiyi Fine Arts, Xie Changwei Calligraphy, Zheng Zhiqun Seal Carving, Li Qiang Han Stele Studies, Guo Rui Meticulous Brushwork Studio, Fan Cunchang Liangzhu Research, and Zhang Jianbo Sculpture. The masters in charge of these workshops are all national-level association members. Additionally, there are twelve “Master Studios” for intangible cultural heritage inheritors specializing in 12 crafts: Sacred Embroidery, Pompom, Lu Brocade, Boxwood Carving, Gourd Carving, Paper-cutting, Clay Sculpture, Inside-Painted Art, and Jade Carving.

In addition, the Intangible Cultural Heritage Base also features multiple interactive experience areas such as the “Ritual Music Tea House,” “Southwest Shandong Musical Instruments Repository,” “Shandong Liquor Culture Museum,” “Southwest Shandong Traditional Song & Dance Opera Research Room,” “Liangzhu Culture Research Room,” “Zhuganxiang Cultural & Creative Market Experience Zone,” and “Shandong Grand Canal Cultural & Creative Market.”
