Liao’gou River Scenic Area

The Liao’gou River Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Liao’gou River Park is built around the Liao’gou River, covering a total area of 428,500 square meters. It will serve as a green ecological corridor at the heart of the high-tech zone, with planning carried out by Hangzhou Branch of Hong Kong Belt Collins. The park’s landscape design employs natural scenic composition techniques and garden design theories, emphasizing the harmony of the natural environment and ecological space, with attention to a balanced mix of dynamic and static viewing experiences and a wide range of participatory themes. The overall layout divides the Liao’gou River into “four zones and one garden”: the four zones are the “Urban Charm Zone,” “Ecological Corridor Zone,” “Ancient Rhyme Zone,” and “Green Horizon Zone,” while the one garden is the “Ecological Science Popularization Garden.”

The park is based on the planting of native plants, incorporating a variety of colors and layers for visual interest, showcasing a richly layered plant ecological landscape. It is divided into: the Urban Waterfront Planting Area, Wetland Landscape Planting Area, Natural Plant Community Planting Area, and Tree Belt Landscape Planting Area. In terms of shoreline landscape design, the river’s second terrace near the water’s edge uses natural rock revetments along the embankment, while the river itself features gently sloping natural banks.
