Qingshan Temple (Yunfeng Temple)

Qingshan Temple (Yunfeng Temple) is a cultural relic protection unit of Shandong Province.

Qingshan Temple is located 3.5 kilometers west of Yicheng District, Zaozhuang City, in the narrow valley between Mount Chu and Mount Han. Originally built during the Tang Dynasty, it is one of the larger Buddhist temples in southern Shandong and is a scenic spot within the Zaozhuang Guanshi Pomegranate Garden Ecological Cultural Tourism Area. The temple is famous for the abundance of blue sandalwood trees on its grounds, including an astonishing number of ancient specimens. It was originally named Yunfeng Temple, situated in the Qingshan Valley formed by Mount Chu and Mount Han. The valley was filled with blue sandalwood trees, which later led to the temple being renamed Qingshan Temple.
