Fanggudui Site

The Fanggudui Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Shandong Province.

The Fanggudui Site is located in Liuyuan Town, Yicheng District, Zaozhuang City, and dates back to the Neolithic Age and the Shang-Zhou periods.

On June 23, 2015, the Fanggudui Site was designated as part of the fifth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Liuyuan Town: “Liuyuan Town” is located in the western suburbs of Yicheng District, Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province, and is a typical suburban town. It administers 54 village committees with a total population of 50,685. The area stretches over 50 li from east to west and nearly 20 li from north to south, covering a total area of 122.6 square kilometers, including 67,000 mu of arable land. National Highway 206 runs north-south through the town.

　The Tancheng-Xuecheng Highway crosses from east to west, while the town lies south of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal and north of Zaozhuang’s two major transportation hubs for water and land transport.
