Located at the northeastern tip of Shagou Town, its main peak rises 374.3 meters above sea level, making it the highest mountain in the region. To the east of Sacred Earth Mountain lies Yangbizi Mountain, with an elevation of 362 meters, ranking as the second highest in the area. The northern slope of Sacred Earth Mountain is relatively gentle, while the southern cliffs are steep, dropping tens of meters to form the unique “semi-crag” landform typical of southern Shandong, with flat mountaintops. In the 1980s, a 6.5-kilometer mountain road was built to the summit to accommodate the construction of a TV transmission tower. This peak stands opposite the neighboring “Huanglouzi Mountain,” with the mountain pass between them known as “Huangkou Pass,” which was once a vital section of the ancient courier route—truly a place where “one man could hold the pass against ten thousand.” East of Sacred Earth Mountain lies the Eastern Valley, later mistakenly called “Cheyu (Vehicle Valley).” The valley is flanked by towering, steep cliffs, presenting a grand and majestic mountain landscape that is rare in the region. Beside the ruins of the “Warning Temple” within the valley lies a spring, known as the “Sacred Earth Spring” or “Warning Spring,” which has a large water yield and supplies drinking water to the entire Shiliu Mountain Village year-round without drying up.

Shagou Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Xuecheng District, Zaozhuang City. In the Ming Dynasty, it was established as a town with a patrol inspection office and a garrison; in the Qing Dynasty, it had a military command post before being officially designated as a town. In 1958, it was part of Lincheng Commune in Teng County, became Shagou Commune in 1961, and was restructured as a town in 1984. It is located 7.5 kilometers from the district government. Covering an area of 25.8 square kilometers with a population of 26,000, it is traversed by the Beijing-Shanghai Railway and National Highway 104.
