The site of the first aircraft production workshop in New China is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

The site of the first aircraft production workshop in New China (also known as the Octagonal Pavilion) is located at the Second Workshop of Hongdu Group Company, Hongfang Community, Hongdu Subdistrict, Qingyunpu District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. The pavilion has a regular octagonal floor plan, with two stories, and an additional small octagonal skylight layer on the upper part of the second floor. It is a military-industrial production workshop designed in 1936 by Italian engineers and was nationalized after the liberation. Nanchang Hongdu Group Company (formerly Hongdu Machinery Factory) is among the earliest military-industrial enterprises in China. In 1951, the main beam framework of the first aircraft of New China was manufactured in this workshop. This workshop holds significant importance for the study of the early military industry and aircraft manufacturing of New China.

In March 2018, it was announced as part of the sixth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units in Jiangxi Province.
