Hongqi Pumping Station

The Hongqi Pumping Station is a cultural relic protection unit of Nanchang County.

The "Hongqi Pumping Station" is situated on the Maqiu Port branch between Minzhu Village and Hefeng Village in Tangnan Town, Nanchang County. It is composed of two major sections: above-ground buildings (including the inlet trash rack, inlet diversion frame, main powerhouse, outlet diversion frame, and auxiliary oil depot) and underwater structures (a two-story underwater pump house). The main powerhouse and auxiliary oil depot in the above-ground section are constructed with reinforced concrete, while the rest of the above-ground buildings are all cast-in-place reinforced concrete structures. The walls of the underwater pump house are also made of reinforced concrete, with a thickness of up to 2 meters. The pumping station was built in 1977 and officially put into use in 1982. It has a total installed capacity of three units, totaling 4,800 kW, and is designed to drain an area of 262.8 km². It serves as an important testament to the development of water conservancy construction in the Nanchang region.

The "Hongqi Pumping Station" spans the Maqiu Port branch, with the area south of the river belonging to Minzhu Village and the area north managed by Hefeng Village. The Tang (Nan) - Xin (Lian) township-level road runs closely alongside the east side of the pumping station over a bridge.

On May 7, 2010, the People's Government of Nanchang County listed it as part of the fifth batch of Nanchang County Cultural Relic Protection Units.
