Xinchang Park is located directly opposite the county administrative center building, covering an area of 75 mu. The project had a total investment of about 18 million yuan, commenced construction in August 2008, and officially opened in September 2011. The park features facilities such as a musical fountain, public fitness areas, children’s playgrounds, and a landscape lake. It is the largest park in Yifeng County that combines leisure, entertainment, and a modern urban-themed square and park. The artificial lake stretches from the mountain in the east to Yuanning South Avenue in the west, and from Xinchang East Avenue in the north to Zhinqing Road in the south, covering an area of about 150 mu. The total investment for the construction of this park was 20 million yuan, and the project is divided into several zones: the central landscape lake area, the embankment viewing area, the sparse woodland leisure area, the activity and entertainment area, the wetland experience area, and the hiking trail area. The ecological environment of the artificial lake has created a wetland scenic area, establishing a regional waterfront destination and becoming a landmark of Yifeng County. In 2011, Shen Peng, a renowned calligrapher and former chairman of the China Calligraphers Association, personally inscribed the name “Xinchang Park,” making it a shining highlight in Yifeng’s new urbanization efforts.
