Bibo Cliff

The stream at Bibo Cliff originates from the summit of Salt Stone Peak, winds eastward and westward along the valley rocks, and cascades down from the cliff, creating a misty and enchanting view of blue waves — hence the name. The area features lush mountains, steep cliffs, and winding streams. Among its many attractions, the flowing springs and waterfalls are particularly spectacular. There are six waterfalls in total, all plunging down from cliffs over 50 meters high, crashing against the rocks with thunderous roars that reverberate through the valley. Water droplets splash and glisten brilliantly. A poem praises the scene: “The mountain hues reach into the sky, where startled birds wheel ‘round the tide. To find where the spring waters fall, look near the source where they cascade. Peaks frame the sound of waves that drift far, while cliffs hold sunlight high and stark. Deep in the woods an old monk dwells, tapping bamboo to guide a trickling rill.” In addition, Bibo Cliff is also home to attractions such as the Heart-Cleansing Bridge, the Fish-Transforming Pool, the Cupful Spring, the Deer-Carrying Immortal, the Immortal Bridge, the Stone Chamber, Bibo Nunnery, and the stone inscription “Lofty Grace in the Clouds” (traditionally attributed to Lü Dongbin).
