Companionship · The 2019 China RV Camping Day was held on June 1 at the Beijing RV World
Companionship is the most heartfelt declaration. Camping is the best way to spend time with parents and children, providing a naturally comfortable setting for togetherness. To allow more people to enjoy the beauty of RV camping life, 21st Century RV, in collaboration with the RV Committee of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the Self-driving and RV Camping Branch of the China Tourism Automobile and Yacht Association, the Automotive Camping Branch of the Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of China, the Beijing RV Camping and Self-driving Tourism Association, 21st Century RV, and RV World, jointly launched the “6·6 China RV Camping Day” event.
The China RV Camping Day event has been successfully held for five consecutive years and is deeply loved by participants. Following tradition, this year’s camping day event took place on the first Saturday of June, coinciding with Children’s Day on June 1. The main venue remained at the RV World Park, and the theme of this year’s event was defined as “Companionship.”
The organizers opened up an area of about 20,000 square meters, dividing it into over 10 zones including an RV exhibition area, RV family camping area, main stage, parent-child activity zone, children’s zone, tent camping area, food zone, flea market, and more, for participants to engage in activities, dine, and rest. First aid and fire safety measures were also provided to ensure on-site safety and handle emergencies.
On the day of the event, there were over 200 camping families and more than 100 RV enthusiasts. They arrived by car or RV at the RV World, where they enjoyed homemade meals with their families, gazed at the sky, raised their glasses together, with children playing around their knees — poetry and distant lands were right there beside them.
Admire RVs, Experience Warmth
To help more children and camping enthusiasts learn about RVs, the organizers specially set up an RV exhibition area, showcasing commonly seen models on the market. On the day of the event, all participants could visit and experience the RVs statically, offering a visual feast and a taste of home that stays the same.
Get Hands Dirty, Burst into Laughter
Let your inner child out and play with the kids, helping them unlock their brainpower and develop hands-on skills through fun. To add excitement to the 2019 China RV Camping Day, the organizers arranged a variety of activities such as DIY windmill challenges, magical water baby DIY, movable type printing experiences, children’s craft umbrella DIY, “Watermelon King” challenge, “No Matter the Distance, Zongzi is Love,” beer drinking contests, RV cooking competitions, outdoor movies, water gun battles, pool fishing, inflatable children’s pools, and flea markets. These activities enhanced fun, challenge, and parent-child interaction, allowing children to grow through laughter in the outdoors and helping adults rediscover their inner child.
The movable type printing experience aimed to teach children about one of China’s Four Great Inventions and the wisdom of ancient people; the “No Matter the Distance, Zongzi is Love” activity encouraged parent-child interaction; the flea market allowed children to trade for toys and items they liked, helping them develop communication skills; inflatable children’s pools and fish ponds provided joyful entertainment for kids, ensuring a happy Children’s Day.
Various DIY activities stimulated children’s hands-on abilities and creativity, allowing parents and children to experience the spirit of competition and the warmth of companionship while achieving shared goals. These activities also gave parents a chance to fully enjoy the outdoors and reawaken their inner child.
Enjoy Nature, Share Hearts
Homes may be small, but yards are vast. As time passes and everything changes, home remains eternal. This camping event opened up large RV and tent camping areas, with the starry sky as a canopy and trees as neighbors, where participants could camp in RVs or pitch tents.
While camping, prepare a hearty meal with your own hands, enjoy homemade food with your family, gaze at the endless starry sky, and chat about long-missed family topics — poetry and distant lands are right at home.
After being in the city for too long, it’s easy to feel restless. Camping allows us to get up close with nature, become part of it, and feel the serenity of nightfall. It’s a moment when you can tell your child — or your child can tell you — things only the two of you can hear and feel. This moment belongs to just you… The unpolluted starry sky at night, the chirping of birds and insects in the morning, the dewdrops kissed by sunrise — these beautiful memories can make a child’s childhood richer and more colorful.
