The Fuchuan Site of Cizhou Kiln is located in the southwestern part of Pengcheng Town, Fengfeng Mining District, Handan City, Hebei Province. The southern hillside of Futian Village houses the largest, most concentrated, and best-preserved section of the site.

The Cizhou Kiln is one of China’s ancient and well-known folk porcelain kilns. It not only offers a wide variety of wares and large-scale production, but also features a distinct national style and local characteristics, forming a unique school of Cizhou ware. There are dozens of ancient kiln sites still in existence, with many well-preserved "steamed bun-shaped kilns" in Pengcheng Town. The Cizhou Kiln Fuchuan Site Museum covers a total area of over a thousand mu, including nearly a hundred mu of the heritage site and more than ten mu dedicated to ceramic artists' workshops. At the Cizhou Kiln Yandian Site, you can even try your hand at making some pottery blanks—a truly engaging activity.

The site includes several Ming, Qing, and Republican-era steamed bun-shaped kilns, rows of ancient workshops, more than ten clay pits, and several ancient wells. The Cizhou Kiln represents the pinnacle of northern Chinese folk ceramics during the Song Dynasty, emphasizing practicality, beauty, and economy in both form and decoration. Its products were mostly everyday items such as plates, bowls, jars, bottles, basins, and boxes, featuring smooth and freely drawn lines that reflect the bold and unadorned style common to folk art. Among China’s six major ceramic series, the Cizhou Kiln ranks among the top in terms of decorative varieties. The artisans of the Cizhou Kiln absorbed techniques from traditional ink painting and calligraphy, creating a white-ground black-decorated style with an ink-wash painting aesthetic. This innovation pioneered colored decorative techniques on Chinese porcelain, and the seamless, masterful brushwork left many art masters in awe. Due to the limited surviving pieces today, Cizhou Kiln artifacts from various dynasties have become treasured collections both in China and abroad. The Fuchuan Site of Cizhou Kiln spans 16,000 square meters and includes six steamed bun-shaped kilns and five ancient workshops from the Song, Jin, and Yuan Dynasties, forming a complete ceramic production line. Within the workshops, visitors can observe folk art masters creating pottery and even try their hands at making their own. The main gate features a traditional archway, with ceramic art exhibition halls on both sides.

The heritage museum falls under the administration of the local cultural relics management office. The local government organized discussions among various experts and scholars, and invited several professors and doctoral researchers from Tianjin University to conduct surveys and design. The site covers a total area of over a thousand mu, including nearly a hundred mu of the heritage area and more than ten mu for ceramic artists' workshops. Additionally, there is a heritage park, ancient exhibition hall, modern exhibition hall, international conference hall, Cizhou Ceramic Culture Research Institute, and a modern ceramic art park, among other facilities.
