Compared to other outdoor music shows, "Hop on Board, Voice It!" features a novel and unique format full of creative flair. It takes the form of amobile KTV challenge traveling from south to north. Whether contestants advance will be determined by bullet chat messages in the livestream. Messages containing the phrases "Hop on Board" or "Get Off" from viewers will decide their fate. If over 60% of the bullets say "Hop on Board," the contestant moves on to the next round; otherwise, they are unfortunately eliminated.
This edition of "Hop on Board, Voice It!" has invited Douyu’s super-popular star host Seven from Saiwenand Fengfeng No. 333, who represent the south and the north respectively, engaging in an epic north-south vocal showdown. So far, the Shanghai auditions have wrapped up successfully. Through a combination of viewer bullet chats and mentor selections, six contestants have stood out: from Team Good Sisters (Seven’s team) — Boss Hui, Tingyue the Fairy, and 233Ninosa; and from Team Third Class (Fengfeng’s team) — Little Fox with Nine Tails, VIVA Li Bingbing, and Nymph Pepe.
Just as the Shanghai auditions have concluded, the Beijing auditions are coming right up. Following the same format as Shanghai, Seven from Saiwenand Fengfeng No. 333 will once again go head to head in a fierce battle, sparking an intense "talent poaching" competition. They will form their own "Voice It!" teams through blind auditions.
With blind selection based purely on vocal performance, contestants will board the vehicle in order, take a seat in the back, introduce themselves briefly, and then start singing — without revealing any personal information until their song ends. Contestants' fates will be decided by bullet chat votes. Captains Seven from Saiwenand Fengfeng No. 333 will use sign cards to decide whether to recruit advancing contestants into their teams. If only one captain chooses a contestant, they automatically join that team. If both captains select the same contestant, a counter-selection phase begins, and the contestant decides which team to join.
If one team is already full and the captain still wants to pick an advancing contestant further down the line, it triggers aPK round, where the captain selects a member from their own team to compete against the advancing contestant. Bullet chat votes will determine who advances. The 12 contestants who succeed in Beijing, along with the 6 from Shanghai, will compete in the offline finals on December 11th. Viewers can not only influence contestants’ fates via bullet chats but also send gifts to "light up" contestants, prompting real-time unmasking — though whether a contestant is unmasked or not does not affect their advancement.
