There are many creatively designed hotels and rooms around the world, featuring elements such as starry skies and ice sculptures. But the Sala Silvermine Hotel in Sweden takes things to a whole new level. Built 155 meters (about 50 floors) underground, the Sala Silvermine Hotel is known as the world’s deepest hotel. The town where the hotel is located has a silver mining history of over 800 years and is globally renowned as one of the world’s top five silver mining regions. After its closure in 1908, it was not until 80 years later that it was transformed into a museum and hotel, breathing new life into this mysterious mining site.
