The Revolutionary Site of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China is located in Kunban Village, Shuikou Town. In 1943, when the diehards were aggressively “encircling and suppressing” the revolutionary base areas, the Fujian Provincial Committee of the CPC moved from northern Fujian to central Fujian in order to conceal its presence and build up strength. In December of the same year, Lin Dafan, Secretary of the Central Fujian Working Committee, along with over 20 guerrilla fighters, arrived at Maocuo and Banli. From late January to February 1944, the Provincial Committee and the guerrilla forces gradually moved to Banli. On Niulaokeng Hill in Banli, also known as Dog-Trapping Shape Mountain, 18 bamboo shacks were built and two drill grounds were established.

After the Provincial Committee moved to Banli, several bases were set up in areas such as Daxi in Dehua, Yongyan, and Badu in Nan’an. These connected the revolutionary bases in northern Fujian, northeastern Fujian, Fuzhou, Yongtai, Datian, as well as those in central Fujian including Putian-Xianyou and Jin-Nan-Hui. During this period, Banli Village became the center of revolutionary activities across the province. The Provincial Committee held meetings here, conducted study sessions on rectification documents, and founded the publication “The Tenacious Struggler.” The counterfeit currency seized by the guerrillas during their surprise raid on the Hanjiang branch of the Bank of Communications in Putian County was also brought to Banli, where the Provincial Committee distributed it to underground party organizations in northern Fujian, northeastern Fujian, and Fuzhou. A radio contact with the Central Committee of the CPC was also made here once. Moreover, the Provincial Committee organized the masses in Maocuo and Banli villages to resist conscription and taxation. The Provincial Committee stayed in Banli for four months before moving to Donghu in Xianyou in three batches in June 1944.
