Family-friendly trips to Changhua welcome summer vacation. For the first time, the Changhua County Government has integrated relevant departments to launch the "Fun in Changhua 'Stamp It' Fun" event. During the summer break, parents with elementary school children are invited to explore together. Collect 10 stamps to exchange for small gifts and get one chance to win major prizes such as a tablet, bicycle, or book voucher.
In addition to the Agriculture Department, Urban Development and Tourism Department, and Construction Department, the event brings together 15 tourist factories, 13 recreational farms, and 45 featured attractions. It also includes police and fire summer camps, as well as programs organized by schools under the Cultural Affairs Bureau and Education Department. By visiting any of the participating spots or joining any camp session, participants can get their activity sheets stamped. The more locations visited, the more chances to win prizes.
Changhua County Magistrate Wang Huei-mei stated that summer vacation is just around the corner, and this year the county government has prepared many fun and exciting places for students and children. She hopes families will explore these places together with their parents to make the summer both enriching and filled with diverse learning experiences.
Magistrate Wang said that the upcoming 108 Curriculum Guidelines focus on promoting local characteristics and multiculturalism. The county government is promoting local education, which includes not only language but also many unique elements of the region. Parent-child outings during the summer help strengthen family bonds, allow deeper appreciation of Changhua’s beauty, and leave lasting impressions in children’s hearts.
The "2019 Beautiful Changhua Leisure Tour" also plans 14 camp sessions, while various schools are organizing programs such as Sports i Taiwan, Career Exploration Camps, Character Building Camps, Financial Literacy Camps, Science Camps, Food and Agriculture Education Camps, Scouts Exploration Camps, and Solar Photovoltaic Camps—totaling over 500 camps. Students are encouraged to use the summer break to enrich themselves through more meaningful and diverse learning opportunities. Thanks to the assistance of the Tourism Association, as well as the participation of tourist factories, recreational farms, and others in making this event a success.
